Motorized & Smart Shades

Motorized shades and draperies have become quiet, reliable and easy to live with. They make the most sense for tall windows that are hard to reach, wide sliding doors, media rooms, and any room where you want the shades to close at sunset.

We make the shades and draperies in our own workroom and install the motors and tracks ourselves, so the fabric, the hardware and the controls all come from one team.

Somfy motors

Our Roman shades can be motorized with Somfy, the name trusted in fine homes and hotels. Choose a rechargeable or battery motor for an existing home, or a hard-wired motor when the walls are open for a remodel or new construction.

Smart control

Raise and lower one shade or a whole room from a handheld remote or a wall switch. Motorized drapery tracks can also run from home-automation systems, and we build each panel to the track’s exact stacking size, so the draperies clear the glass when they open.

Safer and cleaner

With no cords hanging at the window, motorized shades look cleaner and are safer for children and pets.

How it works

1. Send a photoText or email a photo of your piece for an estimate and the yardage it needs, or book a free consultation.
2. Choose your fabricVisit the shop to see our fabric library, or bring your own.
3. We order materialsApprove your quote and place your deposit, and we order the fabric and materials.
4. We do the workLabor takes about two to three weeks once materials arrive, or sooner with rush service at an extra charge. Pickup and delivery are available for a fee.
