There is a sofa in thousands of living rooms right now. Same frame, same oatmeal fabric, same three cushions. It's perfectly nice, and it's completely forgettable.

Our clients come to us for the opposite.

Fabric with a past

Look closely at a printed damask and you'll see what a machine can't fake. Bronze and gold patinas sit on cotton dyed in layers of slate, teal and sea blue. Each print shows slight variations, so no two cushions are quite the same. These fabrics belong on an heirloom chair, a single statement headboard, or a pair of pillows that become the soul of a room.

Then there's color. Coral against celadon. Emerald veined with copper. These aren't colors you settle on. You fall for them across the room.

Luxury that lives outdoors (and in)

Performance fabric used to mean stiff, plasticky and beige. Not anymore. The new Perennials Fall 2026 collection by Ken Fulk just landed on our table, and it's the most beautiful performance line we've seen. Menswear plaids with a fine burgundy line. Leopard and tiger jacquards in emerald and gold. Plush striped velvets. Polka-dot weaves in mustard, fern and lapis.

All of it shrugs off sun, salt air, spills and dogs. That means you can put a tiger-stripe velvet on a beach-house banquette, or a Hollywood Regency plaid on the chairs where the kids eat breakfast.

Why it matters who sews it

A remarkable fabric deserves a maker who respects it. In our San Juan Capistrano workroom we center every motif, match every pattern across seams and cushions, and build each piece to your measurements. We can reupholster the frame you already love, or start from bare wood.
